San Pietro di Feletto

San Pietro di Feletto is located on the sunny hills north of Conegliano. The visitor who arrives in the area is welcomed by the beauty of the rolling hills covered with vineyards and woods, which give the landscape colors and scents as the seasons change. Feletto derives from “felix-icis”, a place where ferns abound, in fact the area was once covered by woods rich in ferns and tall trees, reserved for the arsenal of Venice. However, there was no shortage of land rich in olive and vine plantations to the point that, in an epistle from 1431, the Doge of Venice mentioned the “good wine of Feletto”. The area lends itself to interesting excursions from a landscape, naturalistic, geological and cultural point of view, with itineraries waiting to be discovered.
