For several years, Rodolfo Sonego was a resident of San Pietro di Feletto. He was one of the greatest screenwriters of Italian comedy, working with renowned directors such as Roberto Rossellini, Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi, Alberto Lattuada, Luigi Comencini, Gian Luigi Polidoro, Vittorio De Sica, Tinto Brass, and Nanni Loy.
However, his name is most closely associated with Alberto Sordi. Together, the actor and his screenwriter portrayed the virtues and vices of the Italian people in a remarkable artistic partnership that spanned 44 films. During the 1980s, many famous figures from the film industry visited his home in Borgo Anese, nestled among vineyards and rolling hills.
As a result, and perhaps unknowingly, San Pietro di Feletto became a meeting place for artists of the caliber of Fellini, Mastroianni, Sordi, and many others.
